What does the free servicing cover?

Every new bike comes with six hours of workshop labour to use across twelve months from your purchase date. Split it however suits your riding — 1.5 hours every three months is a solid rhythm — and each visit covers the standard service labour that keeps a bike safe and running sweet:

  • Drivetrain adjustment and cleaning
  • Gear and brake tuning
  • Bolt torque checks throughout
  • A full general safety inspection

However you split the hours, it’s the same expert crew that built your bike doing the work.

How it works

How does the six hours of servicing work?

Your six hours are a bank, not a schedule. Use up to two hours per visit, whenever it suits — a 1.5-hour tune each season, or a few longer sessions around your big rides. Book ahead — workshop spaces each day are limited, and booking in means your bike is seen when it suits you.

Hours roll with you across the full twelve months — nothing is lost quarter to quarter. Whatever’s left at the end of the twelve months lapses, so the best value comes from booking your bike in regularly rather than saving it all up.

Why we do it

Why does Outset include a year of servicing?

Because a bike that’s set up right isn’t a one-time thing. A new bike beds in — cables stretch, bolts settle, suspension wants checking — and the first year is when regular attention makes the biggest difference to how it rides and how long it lasts.

The crew who built your bike are the ones keeping it honest. Regular visits across the year mean we see your bike through every season, catch the small things early, and keep you on the trail instead of in the stand.

12 Months Complimentary Servicing — Terms & Conditions

Every new bike purchased from Outset includes complimentary workshop servicing for 12 months from the date of purchase. Here’s exactly how it works.

    What’s included

    • Six hours of standard service labour to use across the 12 months from your purchase date.
    • Hours can be used flexibly across one or more visits, with a maximum of two hours of complimentary labour per visit. As a guide, 1.5 hours every three months works well for most riders.
    • Standard service labour covers drivetrain adjustment and cleaning, gear and brake tuning, bolt torque checks, and a general safety inspection.

    What’s not included

    • Parts, components, and consumables (tyres, tubes, brake pads, rotors, chains, cassettes, cables, sealant, and similar).
    • Suspension servicing, brake bleeds, dropper post servicing, wheel builds, and other specialist labour beyond standard servicing.
    • Any repair work arising from crash damage, misuse, or neglect.
    • Wear-and-tear replacement and any work outside the standard service scope is quoted and charged separately. We will always contact you and confirm before any chargeable work begins.
    • Where parts must be ordered in to complete a service, any freight cost is charged per item.

    How to use it

    • This offer applies to the original purchaser only and cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned to another person or another bike.
    • Service visits must be booked in advance and are subject to workshop availability. We recommend booking ahead of your preferred date, as spaces per day are limited.
    • A maximum of two hours of complimentary labour applies per visit. Where a job needs more than two hours, the balance is quoted and confirmed with you before any chargeable work begins.
    • Unused hours can be used at any time within the 12-month period; any hours remaining at the end of the 12 months lapse.
    • Please bring the bike in as booked so the workshop time set aside for you isn’t lost.

    The fine print

    • The 12-month period begins on your bike’s purchase date and cannot be paused, extended, or restarted.
    • This offer has no cash value. Unused hours cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or refunded for cash, credit, products, or discounts under any circumstances.
    • Outset reserves the right to decline service where a bike presents a safety risk or requires work beyond the scope of standard servicing, and to amend these terms for future purchases. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
