From an Auckland Garage to Riders Nationwide
Outset began in 2010, in an Auckland garage, as 3Sixty Sports, and has grown into a specialist mountain bike store that serves riders across New Zealand. The address changed and the name changed, but the reason for existing hasn’t: we ride, we race, and we only sell gear we trust.
That history is why the range looks the way it does. We’re a focused store, not a warehouse — every bike, wheelset and component on the site is there because it has earned its place on the trail. As mountain bike specialists, we put your experience as a rider first, whether your order arrives by courier or you carry it out the door.
Ride-Proven Gear, Delivered Fast
Most of New Zealand can’t drop into our Auckland shop, so we built outset.bike to bring the shop to you. The full range is online — bikes from Forbidden, Amflow and Velduro, plus wheels, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, tyres and riding gear from the brands we back — and orders placed before 2pm ship the same day, to your door anywhere in the country.
The difference between us and a faceless warehouse is that real mechanics and riders sit behind every listing. Not sure a part fits, or torn between two tyres? Ring or email before you buy and you’ll get a straight answer from someone who has fitted it, ridden it, or both.
The Auckland Shop — Bikes, Workshop and Coffee
Some things are better done in person, and buying a bike is one of them. At 12 Carr Road, Three Kings, you can swing a leg over the bikes we sell, get sized properly, and talk suspension setup with the people who’ll build it. The workshop runs daily — full services, component fitting, custom wheel and bike builds, pre-owned checks, and boxing bikes for travel — and the in-house barista at Outset Coffee means a service drop-off comes with a decent flat white.

Yes. The workshop takes any mountain bike — full services, suspension work, component fitting, wheel builds and pre-owned bike checks. Book a service.
