Commencal T.E.M.P.O. Power – 2026

The Commencal T.E.M.P.O. Power is a lightweight alloy trail e-bike with 135mm of rear travel, a 150mm fork, 29″ wheels front and rear and the Bosch Performance Line SX motor. It is offered at outset.bike in two 2026 builds — Signature Eagle 90 in Pure White and Essential Eagle 90 in Glittery Black — in sizes S, M, L and XL.

MOTOR, BATTERY & CONTROLS

The T.E.M.P.O. Power runs the Bosch Performance Line SX motor — 60Nm of maximum torque and 250W — fed by an integrated Bosch PowerTube 400 battery (400Wh) with a Bosch 4A charger supplied. Commencal lists a 250Wh Bosch PowerMore range extender as an option for longer days. Control is deliberately minimal: a Bosch System Controller in the top tube handles on/off, assist level and charge level, with a Bosch Mini Remote at the bar for mode changes, walk assist and lights — no screen to break. Why it matters: the SX system adds around half the weight of a full-power motor, so the bike stays flickable and natural-feeling while still taking the sting out of climbs.

A LIGHT TRAIL E-BIKE PLATFORM

Commencal builds the T.E.M.P.O. Power around a triple butted alloy frame with T4 and T6 heat treatment and Bolu bearings, with 135mm of rear travel on a 210 x 50mm shock and 29″ wheels at both ends. The frame itself weighs 3.84kg, Commencal recommends 25–27% shock sag, and the frame accepts piggy-back shocks.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Signature Eagle 90 – Pure White is the top build: a Fox 36 Factory E-Bike fork with the Grip X2 damper and a Fox Float Factory shock. Shifting is SRAM Eagle 90 12-speed with a SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission 10–52T cassette and E13 Helix Core e*spec cranks with a SRAM XX T-Type chainring. Shimano XT 4-piston brakes on 203mm rotors, DT Swiss XM 1700 wheels on 350 hubs, a Fox Transfer Factory dropper and a Maxxis Assegai front / DHR II rear tyre pairing finish it. It weighs 20.3kg (average, size S, without pedals).

Essential Eagle 90 – Glittery Black runs a Fox 36 Performance E-Bike fork and Float Performance shock, the same SRAM Eagle 90 12-speed shifting with a SRAM XS 1270 T-Type cassette, and SRAM DB8 4-piston brakes on 200mm rotors. DT Swiss M1900 tubeless-ready wheels on 370 hubs, a KS Ragei dropper and the same Maxxis tyre pairing complete it, and Crankbrothers Stamp 1 pedals are included. It weighs 20.4kg (average, size S, without pedals).

SIZING & GEOMETRY

The T.E.M.P.O. Power comes in S, M, L and XL. Reach runs 426, 446, 466 and 486mm, with a 65° head angle, 76.3° seat tube angle and 445mm chainstays on every size. As a guide, S suits riders 160–171cm (5′3″–5′7″), M suits 170–181cm (5′7″–5′11″), L suits 180–191cm (5′11″–6′3″) and XL suits 190–203cm (6′3″–6′8″). FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, the Bosch SX motor interface, a custom upper chain guide, a 31.6mm seatpost, a ZS56/ZS56 headset and internal cable routing, and it clears a rear tyre up to 65mm wide. The rear brake mount is postmount 200mm with a 203mm maximum rotor. Both builds ship with down tube, chainstay and seatstay protectors, a Fox 36 specific fender and a Fidlock bottle base; the Essential adds Crankbrothers Stamp 1 pedals and a down tube protection film.
