The Amflow TL Carbon is Amflow’s adventure-ready full-suspension e-bike – built for riders who refuse to choose between the trail, the city, and the open road. Where most e-bikes specialise in one discipline, the TL Carbon is engineered as a genuine all-terrain companion: agile and responsive on mountain trails, smooth and efficient on daily commutes, and stable and capable when loaded up for long-distance touring. A 2.9kg full-carbon frame, FOX co-developed suspension, and the powerful Avinox M2 Drive Unit combine to create an SUV e-bike that performs at a high level across every scenario you throw at it.

AVINOX M2 DRIVE SYSTEM

Powering the TL Carbon is the Avinox M2 Drive Unit – part of the same Avinox platform that Amflow designed from the ground up to deliver power that feels natural, responsive, and completely in tune with your riding. With 125Nm of maximum torque and 1100W of peak power, the M2 provides confident, reliable output whether you’re climbing loaded with luggage, sprinting on a commute, or picking a line through a technical trail section. Real-time traction control via the Traction Control System (TCS) uses a multi-sensor array to continuously manage rear-wheel grip, keeping momentum smooth and predictable across all terrain types.

Full Suspension, Co-Developed with FOX

The TL Carbon runs a full suspension system co-developed with FOX, delivering 120mm of front travel and 105mm of rear travel. FOX AWL and FLOAT suspension components are tuned specifically for the TL platform, absorbing urban road imperfections, stabilising cargo loads on touring rides, and staying supple and controlled over technical trail terrain. Both front and rear wheels can be switched between 27.5-inch and 29-inch formats to suit different terrain preferences.

The full-carbon frame keeps total bike weight to just 22.6kg – a genuinely lean figure for a full-suspension, fully-equipped adventure e-bike.

The TL Carbon is built around a genuine loaded-touring capability. The total supported weight is approximately 200kg – encompassing rider (up to 125kg), front rack load (up to 20kg), and rear rack load (up to 27kg). The MIK HD-compatible rear rack makes it easy to fit panniers, bags, and other accessories, while the thru-axle design supports a compatible bike trailer (sold separately). A modular mounting system means the bike grows with your setup.

Battery & Range

The TL Carbon is available with either an 800Wh or 600Wh removable Avinox battery, both designed for easy one-handed removal and swapping. Either battery can be paired with the optional 480Wh Secondary Battery (sold separately), expanding total capacity to up to 1,280Wh.

Built-in Display & Smart Connectivity

The Avinox Control Display gives you at-a-glance access to speed, power mode, battery level, navigation, and more – all manageable via the Wireless Controllers on the handlebar without taking your hands off the grips.

Smart Offline Navigation
Import third-party routes in GPX, FIT, or TCX format via the Avinox Ride app and send them directly to the Control Display. Real-time route tracking, turn guidance, and off-course alerts keep you oriented on trail or touring rides, even offline.

Smart Heart Rate Control
Pair the TL Carbon with a compatible Bluetooth heart rate monitor (sold separately), set your target heart rate zone in the Avinox Ride app, and the system automatically adjusts motor assistance to keep you in the optimal zone – reducing support if your heart rate drops too low, increasing it if you climb too high.

Apple® Find My Tracking
Pair with Apple Find My to monitor the bike’s location and battery status remotely, or trigger a sound alert – ideal for commuters and touring riders alike.

What size Amflow TL Carbon do I need?

Use your height (without shoes) as your starting guide. As a general reference: S suits riders approximately 158–172cm; M suits 165–178cm; L suits 175–188cm; XL suits 183–196cm. Size ranges between models can overlap – within the overlap zone, a larger size offers a more stretched-out riding position while a smaller size feels more compact and nimble. What is the difference between the Amflow TL Carbon 800Wh and 600Wh versions?

Both versions use the same Avinox M2 Drive Unit, full-carbon frame, FOX suspension, and component build. The primary difference is battery capacity – the 800Wh version offers maximum range in a single battery, while the 600Wh version is lighter and can still be paired with the optional 480Wh Secondary Battery for extended range. Both are compatible with the optional charging hub for sequential multi-battery charging.

How fast does the Amflow TL Carbon go?

The Avinox M2 Drive Unit provides pedal assistance up to 25km/h – the legal maximum for an electrically assisted pedal cycle in New Zealand. You can continue to ride faster under your own power beyond that point, but motor assistance will not engage above 25km/h. No licence, registration or insurance is required.

What is the battery capacity and how is it charged?

The TL Carbon is available with either an 800Wh or 600Wh Avinox removable battery, housed in the downtube. Charging is via the included charger connected to the port on the frame. Connect the charger to the bike first, then plug into the wall – the charger cuts power automatically once full to prevent overcharging. Bikes ship at under 30% charge for transport safety; a full charge before your first proper ride is recommended.

Is the Amflow TL Carbon waterproof?

Yes. The Avinox M2 Drive Unit carries an IP66 water resistance rating and the system is built to handle year-round riding conditions including rain, mud, and wet trails. Avoid prolonged submersion and high-pressure washing – the same approach you’d take with any quality bicycle.

What warranty comes with the Amflow TL Carbon?

The full-carbon frame is covered by a 5-year warranty for the original owner. All components carry the respective manufacturer’s warranty (typically 2 years). Can the Amflow TL Carbon be set up tubeless?

Please confirm with Amflow or your authorised retailer for current tubeless compatibility on the specific wheel/tyre configuration supplied with your TL Carbon. The bike ships with tyres selected for all-terrain performance and touring durability – tubeless setup options can be discussed at point of purchase.

How should I store and care for the Amflow TL Carbon?

Store the bike clean and dry in a cool, stable environment (ideally 10–20°C) with the battery charged to between 30–60%. If storing the battery separately, keep it away from extremes of heat or cold. Avoid leaving the battery at full charge or fully depleted for extended periods. Regular cleaning after muddy or wet rides will extend the life of drivetrain and suspension components.
