The Commencal Clash 20 is a full-suspension kids mountain bike with 20″ wheels, a 120mm Manitou fork and a RockShox Deluxe Select rear shock, built for riders 115–130cm tall (3′9″–4′3″) — around five to six years old. It is offered at outset.bike in one 2026 build, Pure White, in a single size, with Ride Alpha pedals included.

REAL SUSPENSION, KID-SIZED

The rear end runs Commencal’s virtual pivot point kinematics with a RockShox Deluxe Select shock (170 x 35mm, rebound and threshold adjustment, one token fitted), keeping grip and comfort intact on rough ground. Up front, the 120mm Manitou Machete Junit Pro fork uses a kids-specific air cartridge with rebound and compression adjustment, so a light rider actually moves through the travel rather than skipping over it. Why it matters: suspension valved for a child’s weight is the difference between a bike that works and one that just looks the part.

FRAME & FIT

The alloy 6066 frame uses triple butted tubes with T4/T6 heat treatment and Bolu pivot bearings, and weighs 2.8kg on its own; the complete bike is 11.19kg without pedals. The geometry comes straight off Commencal’s gravity bikes: 320mm reach, a 927mm wheelbase, a 65° head angle, 74° seat angle and 345mm chainstays. The cockpit is scaled to match — a 600mm Ride Alpha R15 bar on a 40mm Ride Alpha stem, ODI Elite Motion grips and a kids-specific Selle Royal Explora JR saddle.

THE PARTS THAT MATTER

Tektro HD-J2820 hydraulic disc brakes with two-piston calipers and 180mm rotors give light-action, kid-strength stopping power. The Microshift Acolyte 8-speed drivetrain pairs an 11–38t cassette with a 30t narrow-wide chainring on 127mm Prowheel DMJ cranks in 7075 alloy — simple, tough and cheap to service. Wheels are Alexrims MD25 20″ rims (28h, 23mm internal) on Formula sealed-bearing hubs with Sapim D-Light double butted spokes, wrapped in Maxxis Minion DHR II 20″ x 2.30″ tyres.

FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The headset is an Acros ZS44/ZS56 with sealed bearings, the bottom bracket a Prowheel BB92 pressfit, and the fork runs a Boost 15 x 110mm axle.
