2026 Commencal Ramones 12 + Rear Brake Kit

Commencal Ramones 12 + Rear Brake Kit – 2026

This Commencal bundle pairs the Ramones 12 alloy balance bike — 12″ wheels, for riders 90–105cm tall (2′11″–3′5″), around two years old — with a rear disc brake kit, supplied fitted: the price includes assembly. It is offered at outset.bike in three colours — Pure White, Black and Green (a turquoise shade on the spec sheet) — in a single size.

At outset.bike, we stock bikes we genuinely believe in. A balance bike with a real disc brake teaches lever control from the very first ride, so braking is already second nature by the time pedals arrive.

WHAT THE KIT ADDS

The bundle adds exactly four parts to the standard Ramones 12 push bike, one of each: a 140mm disc brake for the Ramones 12, a Galfer 140mm brake rotor, a 19-to-22mm adapter for the Ramones handlebar (wide) and the Ramones brake assembly. The brake mounts to the frame’s IS 140mm rear tab and the rotor to the disc-ready rear hub — the mounts the bike was designed with — and the bike arrives with it all fitted, because assembly is included in the price.

FRAME & FIT

The frame and 12″ fork are both alloy 6061, and the base bike weighs 4.27kg before the kit is fitted. The frame shape is designed to avoid leg friction and help the child build momentum, with an extra-wide rubber platform in the centre so they can rest their feet once the bike is rolling. Seat height adjusts from 333 to 400mm, and the saddle has an integrated handle for an adult to steady or carry the bike.

THE PARTS THAT MATTER

The contact points are sized for small riders: a 430mm Ride Alpha kids handlebar tapered for 19mm kids-specific grips, sealed-bearing hubs at both ends and Vee Tire Co. CrownGem 12″ x 2.25″ tyres whose wide footprint helps the child develop balance.

WHAT’S INCLUDED & WARRANTY

Every bundle ships with a bell and a footrest protector, plus the fitted rear brake kit. As a balance bike it has no pedals or drivetrain. It is covered by Commencal’s standard warranty, with free Commencal Care support included. For anything else about the Ramones 12, get in touch at outset.bike.
