Commencal Clash V3 – 2027

The Commencal Clash V3 is a long-travel alloy freeride and bike park mountain bike with 170mm of rear travel, a 180mm fork and 27.5″ wheels front and rear. It is offered at outset.bike in three 2027 builds — Signature in Pure Black, RockShox in Pure White and Park in Pure White — in sizes S, M, L and XL.

A FULL 27.5 GRAVITY PLATFORM

Commencal builds the Clash V3 around 27.5″ wheels at both ends, a triple butted alloy frame and 170mm of rear travel on a 230 x 65mm shock. The head angle sits at 63.8° with 434mm chainstays on every size, so the bike stays planted at speed yet snaps through direction changes and off lips the way a smaller-wheeled bike should. Commencal recommends 24–26% shock sag for freeride and 20–22% for jump riding — one bike, two personalities depending on how you set it up. Why it matters: full 27.5 keeps the Clash V3 agile and easy to throw around where a 29er feels like a handful.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Signature – Pure Black is the top build: a Fox 38 Factory fork with the Grip X2 damper and a Fox Float X2 Factory shock, both with high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment. The drivetrain and brakes are full Shimano XT 12-speed, with 4-piston XT brakes on 200mm rotors. DT Swiss EX1700 Classic wheels on 350 hubs, a OneUp V3 dropper and soft-compound Schwalbe Magic Mary front / Tacky Chan rear tyres finish it. It weighs 17.5kg (size S, without pedals) and ships with RideWrap Lotus Pro protection film factory-applied.

RockShox – Pure White pairs a RockShox Zeb Ultimate fork (Charger 3.2 damper) with a Super Deluxe Select shock. Shifting is SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type 12-speed — mechanical, tough and cheap to service — with SRAM Maven Base 4-piston brakes on 200mm rotors, DT Swiss F1900 Classic wheels, a KS Lev Integra dropper and the same soft-compound Schwalbe tyre pairing as the Signature. It also ships with RideWrap Lotus Pro film factory-applied.

Park – Pure White is the most accessible way onto the Clash V3: a Fox 38 Performance fork and Float X Performance shock, Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain, TRP EVO Expert 4-piston brakes on 203mm rotors, DT Swiss E 593 rims on 370 hubs and a Maxxis Assegai front / Minion DHRII DoubleDown rear tyre combination that suits bike park use out of the box. It weighs 17.5kg (size S, without pedals).

SIZING & GEOMETRY

The Clash V3 comes in S, M, L and XL. Reach runs 435, 455 and 480mm across S, M and L, with a 63.8° head angle, 77.5° seat tube angle and 434mm chainstays on every size. As a guide, S suits riders 158–170cm (5′2″–5′7″), M suits 168–180cm (5′6″–5′11″), L suits 178–190cm (5′10″–6′3″) and XL suits 188–200cm (6′2″–6′7″). FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, a BSA 73 threaded bottom bracket, ISCG 05 tabs with a chain guide fitted, a 34.9mm seatpost and a ZS56 headset, and it clears a rear tyre up to 65mm wide. The rear brake mount is postmount 200mm with a 223mm maximum rotor, and the frame is piggy-back shock compatible. Every build ships with a down tube protector, chainstay and seatstay protectors, a shuttle pad, a fork mud guard and a Fidlock bottle base; the Signature and RockShox builds add factory-applied RideWrap Lotus Pro protection film. The Clash V3 carries Commencal’s lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser, with free Commencal Care support. Pedals are not included.
