Commencal Supreme DH V5.2 – 2027

The Commencal Supreme DH V5.2 is an alloy downhill race mountain bike with 220mm of rear travel, a 200mm dual-crown fork and a mullet wheel setup — a 29″ front wheel and a 27.5″ rear. It is offered at outset.bike in three 2027 builds — Team Replica in Addiction White, Signature in Pure Black and RockShox in Pure White — in sizes S, M, L and XL.

A WORLD CUP DOWNHILL PLATFORM

Commencal builds the Supreme DH V5.2 around a triple butted 6066 alloy frame with 220mm of rear travel on a 250 x 75mm shock, with a custom upper idler guide paired with an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount. The mullet format pairs a fast-rolling 29″ front wheel with a 27.5″ rear for clearance on steep terrain, and the chassis is genuinely adjustable: a low/high geometry setting, a 4-position shock anchor and three rear-triangle stiffness options, with recommended shock sag of 20–25%. The frame itself weighs 5.8kg. Why it matters: this is a race chassis you set up for your track, not the other way around.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Team Replica – Addiction White is the full race build: a RockShox Boxxer Ultimate fork with the Charger 3.2 RC damper and a RockShox Vivid Air Ultimate DH shock with adjustable bottom-out, SRAM XX DH 7-speed AXS electronic shifting with an Ochain-equipped 34T chainring, and SRAM Maven Ultimate 4-piston brakes on 220mm HS2 rotors. Crankbrothers DH Alloy 2.0 wheels, a Burgtec direct-mount cockpit and Schwalbe Magic Mary front / Tacky Chan rear Gravity Pro tyres finish it, and it ships with an ODI race plate, a Powerpack battery charger and factory-applied RideWrap Lotus Pro protection film. It weighs 18.8kg (average size S, without pedals).

Signature – Pure Black runs Fox at both ends: a Fox 40 Factory fork with the Grip X2 damper and a Fox Float X2 Factory shock, both with high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment. Shifting is SRAM GX DH 7-speed mechanical with E13 Helix cranks and an E13 LG1+ chain guide, braking is SRAM Maven Silver 4-piston on 220mm rotors, and the wheels are DT Swiss FR541/FR571 rims on DT Swiss 350 hubs. It weighs 19kg (average size S, without pedals) and ships with RideWrap Lotus Pro film factory-applied.

RockShox – Pure White is the full RockShox Ultimate package at the sharpest price: a Boxxer Ultimate fork and a Vivid Ultimate DH shock with a size-specific spring rate (400lbs on S through 550lbs on XL), SRAM GX DH 7-speed shifting, SRAM Maven Bronze 4-piston brakes on 220mm rotors and DT Swiss F1900 Classic wheels. It weighs 19.4kg (average size S, without pedals) and also ships with RideWrap Lotus Pro film factory-applied.

SIZING & GEOMETRY

The Supreme DH V5.2 comes in S, M, L and XL. In the low geometry setting, reach runs 431, 456, 484 and 504mm, with a 63.3° head angle and 75.7° seat tube angle on every size; the high setting steepens both angles by 0.4° and adds 4mm of reach. Chainstays are 442mm on the S and 454mm on M, L and XL (low setting). As a guide, S suits riders 158–170cm (5′2″–5′7″), M suits 168–180cm (5′6″–5′11″), L suits 178–190cm (5′10″–6′3″) and XL suits 188–200cm (6′2″–6′7″). FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, a Press Fit BB107 bottom bracket, an ISCG 05 lower chain guide mount with a custom upper idler guide, a 31.6mm seatpost with a 34.9mm clamp and a ZS56 headset. Rear hub spacing is 157 x 12mm, rear tyre clearance is 65mm, and the rear brake mount is postmount 200mm with a 223mm maximum rotor; the frame is piggy-back shock compatible and ICR compatible. Every build ships with down tube, chainstay and seatstay protectors, a fork fender and factory-applied RideWrap Lotus Pro protection film; the Team Replica adds an ODI race plate and a Powerpack battery charger.
