Commencal T.E.M.P.O. V2 – 2027
The Commencal T.E.M.P.O. V2 is an alloy trail mountain bike with 125mm of rear travel, a 140mm fork and 29″ wheels front and rear. It is offered at outset.bike in one 2027 build — RockShox in Pure White — in sizes S, M, L and XL.
At outset.bike, we stock bikes we genuinely believe in. The T.E.M.P.O. V2 stays lively on climbs and controlled on raw descents — a short-travel trail bike for riders who want efficiency without dulling trail feel.
A SHORT-TRAVEL 29ER TRAIL PLATFORM
Commencal builds the T.E.M.P.O. V2 around a triple butted alloy frame with T4 and T6 heat treatment, 125mm of rear travel on a 210 x 50mm shock and 29″ wheels at both ends. The frame itself weighs 3.44kg, the head angle sits at 65.5° with a 76.6° seat tube angle, Commencal recommends 28–30% shock sag, and the frame accepts piggy-back shocks. Why it matters: 125mm of well-controlled travel on a frame this light pedals like a cross-country bike but holds its composure when the trail turns rough.
THE ROCKSHOX BUILD
The RockShox build pairs a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork with 140mm of travel and the Charger 3.2 damper — high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment — with a RockShox Super Deluxe Select shock. The drivetrain and brakes are full Shimano XT 12-speed, with 4-piston XT brakes on a 203mm front and 180mm rear rotor. DT Swiss XM1700 Classic wheels on 350 hubs with the DEG DF rear hub, a OneUp V3 dropper (150mm on S, 180mm on M, 210mm on L and XL) and a Maxxis Minion DHR II MaxxGrip front / Dissector rear tyre pairing complete it. It weighs 15kg (average, size S, without pedals).
SIZING & GEOMETRY
The T.E.M.P.O. V2 comes in S, M, L and XL. Reach runs 430, 450, 470 and 490mm, with a 65.5° head angle, 76.6° seat tube angle and chainstays of 435mm (S and M) or 440mm (L and XL). If you’re between sizes, get in touch and we’ll help you choose.
FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED
The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, a Press Fit BB92 bottom bracket, ISCG 05 tabs with a lower chain guide mount and a custom upper guide, a 31.6mm seatpost and a ZS56/ZS56 headset, and it clears a rear tyre up to 64mm wide. The rear brake mount is postmount 180mm with a 200mm maximum rotor. The bike ships with a down tube protector, chainstay and seatstay protectors, a fork mud guard and a Fidlock bottle base. The T.E.M.P.O. V2 comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects, exclusively for the original purchaser, with free Commencal Care support. Pedals are not included.
