2027 Commencal Meta HT 20

Commencal Meta HT 20 – 2027

The Commencal Meta HT 20 is an alloy kids hardtail mountain bike with 20″ wheels and a 100mm suspension fork, built for riders 115–130cm tall (3′9″–4′3″) — around five to six years old. It is offered at outset.bike in one 2027 build, Pure White, in a single size, with kids pedals included.

At outset.bike, we stock bikes we genuinely believe in. The Meta HT 20 is for children who are progressing and want a bike that grows with their skills — a real all-mountain hardtail, not a toy.

FRAME & FIT

The Meta HT 20 frame is alloy 6061 with triple butted tubes and T4/T6 heat treatment, and the complete bike weighs 10.6kg without pedals. The cockpit is scaled for small riders: a 600mm Ride Alpha R15 bar on a 40mm Ride Alpha stem, ODI Elite Motion grips and a kids-specific Commencal Explora JR saddle on a 250mm Ride Alpha seatpost.

THE PARTS THAT MATTER

The 100mm X-Fusion Roamin fork with RC damper is built for very light riders, so the front wheel tracks the ground instead of bouncing over it. Tektro HD-J3120 hydraulic disc brakes with two-piston calipers and 180/160mm rotors help a young rider tackle more technical terrain with confidence. The Microshift Acolyte 8-speed drivetrain pairs an 11–38t cassette with a 30t Prowheel chainring on 127mm cranks — simple, tough and cheap to service. Wheels are WTB ST 20″ rims (28h, 30mm internal) on Formula sealed-bearing hubs with Sapim Leader spokes, wrapped in Maxxis DHR II 20″ x 2.30″ tyres.

FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The headset is an Acros ZS44/ZS56 with sealed bearings, the bottom bracket a Prowheel BB92 pressfit, and the fork runs a 15 x 110mm axle with 40mm offset. Every Meta HT 20 ships with kids pedals, a chainstay protector and a seatstay protector, and is covered by Commencal’s standard warranty with free Commencal Care support.
