Commencal Meta HT V3 – 2027

The Commencal Meta HT V3 is an alloy all-mountain hardtail with a 150mm fork. Sizes M, L and XL run 29″ wheels front and rear, while size S runs a 29″ front / 27.5″ rear mullet setup. It is offered at outset.bike in two 2027 builds — Signature in Pure Black and Marzocchi in Pure White — in sizes S, M, L and XL.

AN AGGRESSIVE ALLOY HARDTAIL

Commencal builds the Meta HT V3 from triple butted 6061 alloy with T4 and T6 heat treatment, and the frame weighs just 2.32kg. With no rear suspension to maintain, every pedal stroke goes straight to the rear wheel, and the slack front end keeps the bike composed on descents that would unsettle most hardtails. Why it matters: a hardtail this capable is the cheapest way to ride hard terrain year-round, and the most direct way to build skills.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Signature – Pure Black is the dream build for committed hardtail riders: a Fox 36 Factory fork with the Grip X2 damper — high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment — TRP DHR EVO Expert 4-piston brakes on 203mm rotors, hand-built DT Swiss EX511 rims on DT Swiss 370 hubs and a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain. A KS Rage-I dropper and Maxxis Assegai front / Minion DHR II rear tyres finish it. It weighs 14kg (average, size S, without pedals).

Marzocchi – Pure White is the consistent, reliable way onto the same frame: a Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork with the RAIL 2.0 damper, Shimano MT420 4-piston brakes on 203mm rotors, DT Swiss E593 rims on Formula hubs and the same Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain. A KS 900i dropper and the same Maxxis tyre pairing complete it. It weighs 14.4kg (average, size S, without pedals).

SIZING & GEOMETRY

The Meta HT V3 comes in S, M, L and XL. Reach runs 410, 435, 455 and 480mm. Sizes M to XL share a 64.5° head angle, 75.5° seat tube angle and 430mm chainstays; the mullet size S runs a 65.8° head angle, 76.8° seat tube angle and 425mm chainstays. As a guide, S suits riders 158–170cm (5′2″–5′7″), M suits 168–180cm (5′6″–5′11″), L suits 178–190cm (5′10″–6′3″) and XL suits 188–200cm (6′2″–6′7″). FRAME, STANDARDS & WHAT’S INCLUDED

The frame runs a UDH derailleur hanger, a BSA 68 threaded bottom bracket, a 31.6mm seatpost, a ZS56/ZS56 headset and internal cable routing, and it clears a rear tyre up to 64mm wide. The rear brake mount is postmount 200mm. Both builds ship with chainstay and seatstay protectors and a Fidlock bottle base; the Signature adds a fork mud guard. The Meta HT V3 comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects, exclusively for the original purchaser, with free Commencal Care support. Pedals are not included.
