The Commencal VIP Meta Power SX Avinox frame is a motorised e-bike frameset kit, not a bare frame: an alloy enduro and freeride e-bike frame with 160mm of rear travel and a 29″ front / 27.5″ rear mullet format, supplied with the DJI Avinox M2S motor, a fixed Avinox battery, the Avinox touchscreen display, a Fox Float X2 Factory shock, headset, crankset and chain guide already in the kit. It is offered at outset.bike in two 2027 builds — Pure White in sizes S, M and L, and Pure Black in sizes S and M.

MOTOR, BATTERY & DISPLAY

The kit includes the Avinox M2S drive unit — 150Nm of peak torque with a 1,300W Boost mode, and 130Nm in normal operation. The battery is a fixed Avinox unit: 600Wh on size S and 800Wh on M and L, charged by the included Avinox 12A / 508W fast charger. The Avinox DP100 integrated colour touchscreen carries USB-C, GPS, a barometer, a compass, 4G connectivity and a theft alarm, paired with the Avinox BC100 wireless bar controller. A hub-mounted disc sensor and frame speed sensor are supplied. Why it matters: the Avinox system delivers full-power torque figures from a remarkably light package, and the kit arrives with every motor-system part fitted or boxed.

FRAME & SUSPENSION

Commencal builds the frame from 6066 alloy with T6 heat treatment, and it weighs 4.795kg. It delivers 160mm of rear travel through Commencal’s Virtual Contact System (VCS) linkage, and the kit includes a Fox Float X2 Factory shock (230 x 60mm), with a recommended sag of 29–32%. The frame is designed for a 160–170mm fork (576mm recommended fork height, 586mm maximum) and the 27.5″ rear wheel keeps the bike responsive and agile for its class.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Pure White is offered in sizes S, M and L. Pure Black is offered in sizes S and M. The two are otherwise the same kit, with identical motor, battery, display, shock and included hardware.

SIZING & GEOMETRY

Reach runs 440mm on S, 460mm on M and 485mm on L, with a 64° head angle and 77.9° seat tube angle across sizes, and chainstays of 445mm (S and M) or 450mm (L). As a guide, S suits riders 160–171cm (5′3″–5′7″), M suits 170–181cm (5′7″–5′11″) and L suits 180–191cm (5′11″–6′3″). If you’re between sizes, get in touch and we’ll help you choose.
