The Commencal Ramones 14 is an alloy kids bike with 14″ wheels, built for riders 95–110cm tall (3′1″–3′7″) — around three years old. It is offered at outset.bike in two 2027 builds — the Pedal bike and the Push Bike balance bike — each in Pure White, Black and Green (a turquoise shade on the spec sheet), in a single size.

CHOOSING YOUR BUILD

Pedal – Pure White, Black or Green is the first real mountain bike: a singlespeed drivetrain with a 28t chainring (with chainring cover), 89mm kids cranks and an 18t freewheel, stopped by Tektro Aries mechanical disc brakes with kids-specific levers and Jagwire cables on 140mm rotors. The brakes are set up moto-style — front brake on the right lever, rear on the left. It weighs 6.93kg without pedals, and pedals are included.

Push Bike – Pure White, Black or Green is the balance bike of the pair: 4.58kg, with an extra-wide rubber platform in the frame so the child can rest their feet once rolling, and a saddle with an integrated carry handle. Seat height adjusts from 350 to 420mm. No brake is fitted, but the frame and rear hub are disc brake ready — an IS 140mm rear mount takes a rotor up to 160mm — so a rear brake can be added later. As a balance bike it has no pedals or drivetrain.

FRAME & FIT

Both builds run an alloy 6061 RMNS 14 frame and matching 14″ alloy fork, a 450mm Ride Alpha kids handlebar tapered for 19mm kids-specific grips, and Vee Tire Co. CrownGem 14″ x 2.25″ tyres whose wide footprint builds confidence. The geometry is genuinely kid-sized: 247mm reach and a 620mm wheelbase on the Pedal bike, 218mm reach and a 617mm wheelbase on the Push Bike, both with a 70° head angle. Why it matters: a bike that actually fits lets a small rider steer and brake properly instead of just hanging on.

WHAT’S INCLUDED & WARRANTY

The Pedal bike ships with a bell, lights and pedals; the Push Bike ships with a bell and a footrest protector, and has no pedals.
