Description and specifications
Description
The Amflow PL electric mountain bike offers 850 watts of peak power in an ultra-light build weighing 19.2 kg. With its unrivaled combination of power, range, weight, and intelligent features, this groundbreaking eMTB is built for the trailblazers. A full-power eMTB with a stunningly lightweight body. Meticulously designed and crafted to deliver the ultimate ride.
Designed and manufactured by DJI, the Avinox Drive System is seamlessly integrated into Amflow PL, infusing the type of cutting-edge hardware and software that has made DJI an industry leader in drones and camera stabilization technology. The Avinox M1 Drive Unit features a compound planetary gearset with an industry-leading power-to-size ratio.
The durable, high-strength polymer material inside the Avinox M1 Drive Unit effectively suppresses noise during high-speed gearbox operation. With multiple precision sensors built-in, combined with advanced DJI algorithms, it provides a strong, smooth assistance for a wide range of scenarios and conditions.
Five Modes, Targeted Assistance
In addition to traditional assistance modes of Eco, Trail and Turbo, the DJI Avinox Drive System also features a specialized Auto mode, which adapts assistance in real-time based on road conditions and riding position. Once enabled, Auto mode empowers users to tackle a wide variety of terrain types and gradients without having to switch modes.
For the most challenging trails or steep inclines, activate Boost mode to instantly get 120 Nm of torque and 1000W high-power assistance.
Intelligent Walk Assist, Effortless Control
Amflow PL’s Walk Mode features intelligent walk assistance for easy incline traversing, Auto Hold to prevent rollback on slopes, and Hill Start Assist for additional torque to get you started on inclines. It also allows stationary gear shifting for a smooth and intuitive experience.
Intelligent Battery Health, Extended Service Life
Amflow PL features a battery health management system for real-time monitoring, self-discharge, active voltage reduction, and abnormality alerts. Batteries are durable and reliable. After 500 full charge-discharge cycles, the battery still maintains 80% of its initial capacity.
GaN 3x Fast Charging
The palm-sized fast charger is capable of charging the battery from 0% to 75% in just 1.5 hours.
Versatile Geometry to Dominate Terrain
Amflow PL’s frame design features cutting-edge geometry, offering balanced performance that’s both lightweight and hyper-agile. This dynamic handling empowers riders to easily take on rugged trails and more technical rides.
29″ and 27.5″ Compatible
Amflow PL is compatible with both 29 and 27.5-inch rear wheels. [9] By adjusting the flip chips, you can accommodate both sizes without altering the frame’s geometric center of gravity. Whether you want to hone your technical skills or simply enjoy high speeds, Amflow PL is ready to ride.
Built-in Display, Smartphone Connectivity
The brain of the DJI Avinox Drive System is the Control Display. This 2-inch full-color OLED touchscreen is integrated directly into the frame. It displays real-time ride data and estimated range, and enables quick changes of the display content with a simple slide.
Anti-Theft Protection
Users can configure multiple anti-theft settings on the Avinox app, including password authentication and abnormal movement alerts. If the bike is moved, an alarm will sound, [10] and the Avinox app will send a push notification, [11] making it convenient for users to check the bike’s real-time location and status. Users can also activate a Phone Key to unlock the bike automatically according to proximity.
Comprehensive Data Recording, Easy Metric Sharing
With the Control Display or the Avinox app, riders can review a rich array of data like speeds, range, cadence, power, torque, gradient, altitude, calories burned, ride times, heart rate, and more. This data can also be easily synced with Strava.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get over the standard PL Carbon?
Three things. Suspension steps up from Fox Performance to full Fox Factory – a 36 with the GRIP X2 damper and a Float X rear, with the Kashima coating. The drivetrain goes from SRAM GX mechanical to X0 AXS wireless. And the wheels and handlebar go from alloy to carbon.
Frame, motor, battery and geometry are identical, so the power and the handling are the same. You’re buying damper adjustment, shifting, and rotating weight. Ridden hard and often you’ll feel all three – the GRIP X2 in particular is a genuinely better damper, not just a nicer sticker.
How does the PL compare to the newer PX?
The PL is the original Amflow and the PX is its successor. The PL runs the first-generation Avinox M1; the PX moves to the newer M2S. Both share the same recipe – full carbon frame, 160mm fork, 150mm rear.
Having ridden both, the difference is marginal but noticeable, and it’s more about power delivery than outright power – the newer motor meters it out more smoothly rather than simply giving you more. The PX is also the better-presented bike, with more attention to detail in the finish. The PL Carbon PRO is still an excellent bike on a high-end build and costs less, but if you’re choosing fresh, the PX Carbon is the one we steer most people to.
Who handles warranty if the motor or battery fails?
Avinox drive and battery warranty currently runs through the bike brand rather than DJI directly, so it follows the same path any bike warranty would. Bring it to us and we’ll handle the process rather than leaving you to chase a consumer electronics support line.
Being straight about the wider picture: Avinox is a young drive system from a company new to bikes, and the support arrangements are still settling. That’s the genuine risk in buying into it. We’ve sold plenty of Avinox bikes at this point, and we’d rather raise it than have you wonder.
Is Fox Factory suspension actually worth it over Performance?
The part that matters is the damper, not the gold. Kashima coating is a surface treatment and makes very little practical difference. The GRIP X2 damper in the Factory fork is the real upgrade – it gives you high and low speed compression and rebound adjustment, where the Performance fork gives you far less to work with.
So it comes down to whether you’ll use the adjustment. A rider who sets sag once and rides is paying for dials they’ll never turn. A rider chasing setup, or one whose weight and terrain sit outside the standard tune, will get real value from it. On a bike this heavy and this fast, we’d lean towards yes.
